SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER/ASSISTANT TEACHER/GENERAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Converge Day Treatment Center is seeking a Special Education Teacher, General Education Teacher, or Assistant Teacher who will help with the team to provide instruction to students with a variety of disabilities in a day treatment center setting. Converge Day Treatment Center prides itself on individualized services, so understanding the needs of each child on a one-on-one basis is very important. Excellent communication skills are also vital, as you will interact with students, parents and educators on a daily basis. As a Special Education Teacher, you will also provide direct and appropriate individualized instruction based on Individualized Educations Plans (IEPs) and objectives, while developing social skills for each child at the appropriate teaching level.

Salary varies based on experience, education.


Qualifications for Certified Teacher:

  • Colorado Licensure
  • Prefer experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Emotional Behavior Disorders.

Physical Requirements:

  • Be capable of physically assisting students with special needs as required (positioning, lifting, transferring, restraining, etc.)

Qualifications for Assistant Teacher:
  • Bachelor's Degree in education or related field of study
  • At least two years of documented experience working with children
  • Prefer experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Emotional Behavior Disorders

Youth Treatment Counselor

Converge Day Treatment Center is seeking a “Highly Qualified” paraprofessional who will work under the overall supervision of the Assistant Director/Behavior Interventionist to support children with emotional and behavioral needs. Paraprofessionals will be required to help implement special education or related services and/or to provide direct assistance to students.


Paraprofessional’s salary varies based on experience, education.


Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a High School Diploma
  • At least one year of experience working with children

Physical requirements:

  • Be capable of physically assisting students with special needs as required (positioning, lifting, transferring, restraining, etc.)
